Food Production Supervisor / Bilingual / Manufacturing lead Dallas, TX

Job Description:

This supervisor will be one of three, responsible for what is happening on the production floor. This position will be 3rd Shift. Weekends will be required depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Ability to solve basic problems that arise in a production environment

· Facilitate lean initiatives to reduce waste, down-time, and improve efficiency

· Lead a team of associates with varying levels of experience and education

· Maintains control of production man-hours by monitoring efficiency reports

· Openly communicates all issues to Production Manager to fix problems

· Develops and motivates the team to solve routine operational issues

· Monitors and communicates performance to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets

· May conduct presentations and formal training

· Works with the Maintenance department to ensure equipment is in working condition

· Develops the team to solve own day-to-day operational issues

· Conduct presentations and formal training programs

· Audits each line at startup to ensure all production requirements are in compliance

· Inspects department areas to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices

 

Requirements

· Bilingual (English/Spanish)

· Completion of high school or equivalent GED

· Minimum of one-year supervisory experience in food production and manufacturing

· Team based approach to decision making

· Microsoft Office experience
